Application of Modified Grade CPE Rubber in Market
At  present, the improvement of CPE in the chemical market is mainly based  on the rubber-type improved grade CPE, which should be widely used for  its application, such as wire and cable (cable for coal mine, UL and  VDE), hydraulic hose, Automotive hose, tape, plastic sheet, PVC-type pipe modification, magnetic materials, ABS modified and so on.
    Modified  CPE (CPE) is a saturated polymer material, the appearance of white  powder, non-toxic and tasteless, with excellent weather resistance,  ozone resistance, chemical resistance and anti-aging properties, with  good oil resistance, flame resistance and coloring performance The Good toughness (at -30 ℃ is still flexible), and other polymer  materials have good compatibility, high decomposition temperature,  decomposition of HCl, HCL can catalyze the dechlorination of CPE.
The  modified grade CPE is a high molecular weight material obtained by the  reaction of chlorinated substitution of high density polyethylene  (HDPE). According  to the structure and use of different, improved grade CPE can be  divided into resin-based improved CPE (CPE) and elastomer improved grade  CPE (CM) two categories. The  thermoplastic resin may be blended with polyvinyl chloride (PVC),  polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), ABS and even  polyurethane (PU) in addition to being used alone. In  the rubber industry, CPE can be used as high-performance, high-quality  special rubber, but also with ethylene propylene rubber (EPR), butyl  rubber (IIR), nitrile rubber (NBR), chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSM) Other rubber blends are used.

      1) CPE is a saturated rubber, with excellent resistance to thermal  oxygen aging, ozone aging, acid and alkali resistance, chemical  properties.
2) Excellent performance of CPE oil resistance, which resistance to  ASTM No. 1 oil, ASTM 2 oil performance is excellent, and NBR  considerable; resistance to ASTM 3 oil performance, better than CR, and  CSM considerable.
3) CPE contains chlorine, with excellent flame retardant properties, and a combustion anti-drop characteristics. With the antimony flame retardant, chlorinated paraffin, Al (OH) 3 the  appropriate proportion of the three can be flame retardant performance,  low cost of flame retardant materials.
4) CPE non-toxic, non-heavy metals and PAHS, which fully meet environmental requirements.
5) CPE with high filling performance, can be made in line with a variety of different performance requirements of the product. CPE processing performance, Mooney viscosity (ML121 1 +4) in the 50-100 between a variety of grades to choose from.

The  physical and mechanical properties of polyethylene are not only closely  related to the molecular weight, but also to the distribution of  molecular weight. The  molecular weight of the modified grade CPE has a significant effect on  its physical properties such as strength, hardness, toughness, aging  resistance, and fluidity. The  need for higher molecular weight in order to make the product has  sufficient strength, but the molecular weight is too large will lead to  too much viscosity, difficult to process.
